Who we are
The Hartebees QuickBooks Integration ("the app") is a private tool operated by Hartebees Ventures (Pty) Ltd ("Hartebees", "we", "us") for our own business. It is not offered to other businesses or the public.
What data the app accesses
When a QuickBooks Online company is connected, the app accesses that company's accounting data through Intuit's QuickBooks Online Accounting API. This can include company information, the chart of accounts, customers, vendors, products and services, invoices, bills, payments and other transactions, and financial reports.
The app requests only the accounting scope. It does not request access to payroll, payment processing, or the personal profile of the Intuit user who connects it.
How we use the data
We use the data only for our own bookkeeping, reporting and automation. We do not sell, rent or share it with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where the data is stored
Data retrieved from QuickBooks is processed and stored on our own computers. The access tokens issued by Intuit are stored locally with access restricted to the operator.
This website (qb.hartebees.co.za) only relays the one-time authorization redirect from Intuit to our computer. It is served through Cloudflare, which processes requests to it as our network provider. Our server does not store that information and keeps no access logs.
Retention
We keep data only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Access tokens are deleted when the app is disconnected.
Disconnecting
The app can be disconnected at any time from the Apps section of QuickBooks Online. Disconnecting revokes the app's access to the company.
Security
All connections to Intuit and to this website use TLS. App credentials and tokens are never stored on this web server.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
